March 26, 2008, CEAP was recognized as a Blue Ribbon Food Shelf by Hunger Solutions Minnesota. This designation was created as a way to recognize food shelves that offer excellent service to the community and this status is not easily attainable. This award means that when donations are given, our community can trust that their donation is being used effectively and efficiently and also be confident that when someone uses our food shelf, they are treated with dignity and respect.

Thank you to Cub Foods at Brookdale for hosting a brat-and-dog weekend sale in front of their store, with 100% of the proceeds going to the CEAP Food Shelf. Cub donates all meat, buns, beverages, and the use of their grill and sales cart at the store entrance. All we provide are the volunteers. At the end of the sale, Cub gives us all proceeds and matches our sales amount with a cash donation.Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with grilling and sales, and to those who stopped by for a snack and contributed financially!
