Back-to-School Caring Tree Program

For our 2008 Back-to-School Caring Tree Program call Annetta at 763-566-9600 for donation questions and call Tammy at 763-450-3679 about volunteering your time. Here is a list of supplies needed for each grade if you would like to donate supplies.

Back to School Volunteers

Volunteer your time at the Brookdale Center, Northtown Mall or the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. CEAP needs 250 volunteers in teams of at least two people to fill four-hour shifts at each mall. We will also need other volunteers to sort and organize donations, then fill backpacks for CEAP to distribute to families. Contact Tammy 763-450-3679 to volunteer your time.

Individuals, Businesses, Congregations and Organizations can adopt children from a list provided at the Caring Tree Booth at both locations. Larger group adoptions contact Annetta at 763-566-9600.

CEAP's Caring Tree Back to School Program serves children in need in all of Anoka County, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, East Champlin and Maple Grove. In 2007 through the generosity of the community 942 children received school supplies through the Brookdale Center and The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, and 1,563 through Northtown Mall for a total of 2,505. CEAP's Anoka County Caring Tree Program is the largest in Minnesota. Support from the community is essential to the success of this program.

Did You Know?

Every fall CEAP, and the Caring Tree Program, gives shoppers at Northtown Mall, Brookdale Center and the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes a chance to sponsor a child and purchase necessary school supplies for that child. CEAP's Caring Tree project is the largest in the state.
